John's Picnic 2005

Well, what a weekend. And the Sunday was absolutely huge! The perfect weather certainly dragged out a lot of cars and their owners. Estimates put the entrants at over the 2000 mark and at least 6500 people enjoying the sights and sounds at the Racecourse on the Sunday. Just fantastic!

The guys from Kustoms of Australia did a great job, yeah I know it was hard getting in for a while, but when you got that many cars, you have to expect some delays. Especially when there were only 250 pre-entered (hint, hint).

It seemed like everyone had gotten a new digital camera for Chirstmas and they all bought them along, never seen so many people taking photos. Plus there was a camera crew from Blokesworld, Rodders Life and John will be producing his own DVD to re-live all the great memories.

A few new cars and interstate entries from Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and the Northern Territory. Some that I really liked or stood out to me were, the metal finished Merc and the Black Merc, a big wheeled 32 roadster, neat A Sport Coupe and a very smooth '56 Chev convertible
