BAY RODDERS

MRA Cranbourne GP Run 2005

For the second year Bay Rodders were asked to provide some cars for the celebrations at the start of the MRA Grand Prix Run. The cruise is part of the lead up to the Australian Motor Cycle Grand Prix, this takes place at Phillip Island which normally is about 1 1/2 hours away.
They block off the 2 southbound lanes of High Street which is also the South Gippsland Highway that goes through the centre of Cranbourne. The bikes started arriving from 7:30am parking 5 and 6 abreast and by 10 o'clock when they are waved off for the cruise, the bikes stretched the full length of the High Street and just as far around the corner. It took at least 20 minutes for all the bikes to clear. There were an estimated 13,000 bikes in the cruise.
Thanks to Bill, Nick, Mark, Bob, Dane, Ian, Ron, Graeme and Greg from Bay Rodders and to Mick from Throttlers for turning up so early on a Saturday morning.
