1952-1953 Ford Passenger Car Commercials

1953 Ford Car Commercial

1953 saw the 100th anniversary of Ford Motor Company and a slightly redesigned passenger car. These changes were mostly cosmetic applied to the grille but also included a modified instrument panel and suspended foot pedals. 1953 was also the last year of the venerable flathead V8 engine which was soon to be replaced by the OHV "Y-block" series engines in 1954 US auto production. This marked the end of an outstanding 31 year run for the flathead V8. New for 1953 in the Ford line was the addition of factory option power brakes and steering.
