1953 Ford Truck Commercials

1953 Ford F800 Big Job Dump Body Truck Commercial

1953 saw the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Ford Motor Company and a significant redesign in the entire Ford truck line including this F800. This type of truck, along with the F900, were most likely powered by the venerable 337cid flathead V8. This particular truck is single axle with dual wheels in the rear and has what appears to be a hydraulically operated enclosed dump body.

1953 Ford F-100 Truck Marine Testing

1953 saw the 50th anniversary of Ford Motor Company and newly redesigned models across the Ford line of passenger cars and trucks. Trucks were given new model designations dropping the previously used F-1 in favor of the now familiar F-100 badge. This was also to be the last year for the venerable flathead V8 which was replaced by the "Y" block engines in the 1954 model year. In this film we see a F-100 brought to Quantico, VA by a Fairchild C-119 "Flying Boxcar", this new 1953 Ford F-100 is put through various training procedures.
