1937 Plymouth Sloper (P4)Little is documented about the Richards Bodied Plymouth and Dodge Slopers. Certainly examples of both exist for 1937 and 1938. Richards Body Builders of South Australia contracted to Chrysler Australia to produce coupe bodies through the mid to late 30's. While appearing to resemble the Ford and GM Sloper style the body featured a bustle boot. Production figures for these cars is unknown |
I owned this car for about ten years. The '37 had a laidback grill, similar to a '37 Chev. It runs a 302W, C4, Fairlane disc braked rear, HG front, etc, etc ... and I believe now resides in the Hunter Valley, NSW. Chris Sullivan Kevin and Barbara Williams - 1937 Plymouth P4 sloper |
