Although hot rods were considered an accessory to juvenile delinquency in the mid 50s, automotive machinist Wally Olson built this one to help prevent that. According to the September 54 Hot Rod, the Fresno, California, natives 9- and 12-year-old sons were too busy helping with this 25 T bucket to get into any pre-teen trouble. The 25 frame was stepped to put the roadster on the ground, with clearance as slim as 2 inches in places. The 274ci 48 Merc mill featured a Howard cam and Potvin ignition. Wally ran the rear axle and leaf spring through chrome-framed holes in the sheetmetal. The big-n-little look is achieved with 8.20x19 Firestones in the rear and 5.00x16s in front.
